Taking the Theory Test

The test will take place in a room with other people who are also taking the test. You will be instructed to sit down at a computer and start the test. The system they use is very basic and simply involves checking the relevant answers, so you don't really need to worry if you aren't comfortable with computers.

The first test you will have to take will be the Theory Test. This consists of a 50-question multiple choice test followed by the Hazard Perception part of the test. The multiple choice section asks that answer you all 50 questions within 57 minutes. You will receive one mark for each correct answer and to pass you must answer 43 or more questions correctly. Questions are selected at random and will cover all aspects of driving theory including safety procedures, signage and correct driving disciplines.
