Hazard Perception

Immediately after you have completed the theory part you'll be presented with the Hazard Perception test. This consists of 14 clips that are roughly a minute long and each clip includes potential hazards you may experience while driving. You are required to view each clip and identify the hazards as they occur. You score points by clicking when you think you are approaching a hazard and there are 15 of them, each worth a maximum of 5 points, with the scoring going decreasing depending on how quickly you notice the hazard. To pass the Hazard Perception part of the test you are required to score 44 out of a possible 75.

Once you have passed the test it is valid for 2 years from the date. During this time you should be looking to book your practical test. After 2 years you will be required to re-sit the Theory Test should you still hold a provisional licence. Don't worry if you don't pass, you can reapply to re-sit the Theory Test straight away
